At the moment I'm doing some research for a project I'm working on as part of my degree course, and I'm trying to find some photographers that use a lot of slow shutter speeds in their work to give an almost ghostly feel to their photos. I was just wondering if anyone might have a few ideas that would point me in the right direction. I've had a look around the 'net myself, but i keep coming up short.

Thanks in advance,
Oliver

Have a look at John Blakemore.
His waves, wind and streams series use astonishly long exposures to achieve a dream-like effect.
Check out www.arcblue.com/search/john-blakemore/12/1/

P.S. Don't bother with his tulip stuff, it's more recent, but it doesn't float my boat.

On a slightly different tangent, a lot of nightclub photographers use flash, a slow shutter and hand movement to blur the bright lights in clubs.

Here's a couple of examples...

You may want to have a look at: www.nakleh.com/wedding/slideshow.html

These were shot by ex-Magnum and Archive photographer Jeff Jacobson shoot reportage with a 5D / QFlash off camera combo.

I've done a few with long exposures and flash to get ghosts etc.

Here's one from some indoor Mountain bike racing:
