hey,
went karting last week with the uni motor club. havent really tried taking pics of karting before but i expected the poor light to pose problems. in the end my new 50mm 1.8 lens was the saviour and i got some pics i am quite happy with.
these have yet to be photoshopped as i havent had time.

Fantastic shots - how did you get the effect in the last few?? From a complete novice. Really captured the speed...
cheers.
the last few were done with a tripod with an exposure of about 0.3seconds. i would have liked to have done a much longer exposure and get more karts but with very long exposure the background becomes so much brighter than the karts that you cant see them.
(and i am a complete novice too. only had my camera for about 18 months)
