Canvas printing results
Discussion
A couple of weeks ago I had the bright idea of killing two birds with one stone;
1 - Doing my bit for charidee by raffling off two images for Children in Need, and
2 - Publicising at work that print of my images are now for sale
As I'd be raffling them off at work I had to go through the PC police and make sure they were happy so we struck a deal whereby they would choose one image and I'd choose the other. The image they chose was to my mind one of my weaker ones and was a simple snapshot when Mrs CVP and I were out for a good walk on Sunday. The other is one of my favourites.
I figured this would also give me a handy opportunity to see if I liked the result to get possibly get one made for mum for Christmas.
I contacted Tim (Roadrunner) at Fluid Images and have just received the two images I asked him to print up. Since I sent them to him (late last Friday I think) I've been like a big kid waiting for them to come back and when I got through the multiple layers of wrapping used to keep them safe I haven't been disappointed. Big thumbs up to Tim, the quality is absolutely first rate. So here's the proof of the pudding so to speak.
Image is that Clouded Leopard close crop. I loaded it onto the screen as well comparison purposes so you can get a good view of the size of the print (20*20). It's got great impact at this size
The other one is this one (digital image only) which Tim has done A2 for me and the blacks and greys have come out lovely and rich.
So if you're after a big canvas print I'd heartily recommend a fellow PH'er. For the record I have no connection with Tim or his company just a satisfied customer.
Sorry for the messy pic, it's month end and my desk is a bomb site as I'm drawing it all together
Cheers
Chris

that is one mighty beautiful shot of the Leopard. Been looking to get a few of my favourite pics on canvas recently. Thanks for heads up - will try this company.
P.S. did you order on the 12mm board or 1" wooden frame????

I went with the 1" wooden frame. With this the front of the frame is the print size you want and then the canvas is wrapped round the frame. This means you have to give Tim a print which is slightly oversized, i.e. if you want to see A2, then your image has to be sized to A2 plus 1 inch on top and bottom and both sides.
Cheers
Chris
