when you preview photos using adobe bridge, selecting the photo on the right, seeing it appear on the left under the folder organiser, the photo seems to be generating using an "enhanced quality" filter, which accentuates the flaws of the photo, ie incorrect lighting, noise, colour banding, etc.
Is there a way of turning this off? I scrutinise all areas every photo I take at 100% and would rather this filter wasnt displayed.

Is this with RAW photos, JPGs or PSDs?
RAW: There's an option in Bridge: Edit -> Camera Raw Preferences -> Apply Sharpening To, but there's no option to turn it off!
JPG: I can't see this effect on my JPGs
PSD: This may be to do with how Photoshop saves the file preview. The only option I can find is in Photoshop: Edit -> Preferences -> File Handling, but again there's a distinct shortage of options!
I suspect, as the image is supposed to just be a preview, there's some speed/quality compromise being made that's not working to your advantage. Maybe worth a go posting the question in the Adobe support forums?
