I have just transfered some sunset pics onto my computer using the software supplied with a Nikon D50: PictureProject I think it's called. I open Adobe Bridge and the pics look fine in the "thumbnail" view on the right, but when I click on one to view a preview, the exposure seems to change and the picture becomes lighter, both in the thumbnail view and the preview.

Its quite annoying, as the colours arent anywhere near as intense. I know I can fiddle about with the settings in Camera Raw (I shot in RAW), but that means doing it for every pic. I just want to see the pictures "as-shot" in Adobe Bridge.

Are the any settings/preferences in Bridge that I need to change?

Out of interest, is it doing anything else that I haven't noticed?

It'll be the colour management settings.

To keep it simple, are you shooting with Adobe RGB on the camera and is Adobe colour management set on Adobe RGB too?

Don't know much about Adobe Bridge, but in Photoshop the Colour Management options are towards the bottom of the Edit menu...

OK I've had a quick look and it seems that I've been shooting in sRGB, but I dont know what this means.
There are three options on my D50:

IIIa sRGB (vivid colours)
Ia sRGB (portraits)
IIa adobe RGB

What difference do these settings make? I'm only just getting to grips with manual mode eek
