stock images - site recommendations...?

[page3]

Hi all,

I need some fairly specific images for a company website. Googling brings up a vast array of sites - but can anyone recommend a good source at a reasonable price, preferably with the ability to use images before purchase (obviously watermarked) so my client can approve them.

Thanks.

Aha.. Shutterstock

But there are plenty of other places

Dreamstime.com, Fotolia.com, istockphoto.com amongst others...

Thanks.

Found iStockPhoto which seems good - although a little too American-centric. Just checking I don't end up making a mistake and going somewhere you all know should be avoided

in a pinch you might get something for free from here:

www.sxc.hu

The fact that they are free is a good indicator of the quality, but there are a few pretty good images on there. Make sure you read the license for each image carefully as some of them have conditions for use.

shutterstock too expensive if you want just a few, try www.istockphoto.com or indeed ask bob to take one for you lol

You could also try Bigstock.
