Anyone know of a good way to get Super8 cine film to digital? I know there are some adverts on the web but I'm not really looking to spend £2k getting family history converted...

My father's cine projector ceased to function just when I was getting around to videoing the projected images...

I use Pinacle studio 9. Just record in onto one of the hard drives, then edit, then burn.

Hi there, Super 8 eh.

This is going back a while but a friend back in Uni projected their work onto a big white wall and recorded the projection via a 3ccd camera. The effect was remarkably good but he was able to control the surroundings rather well. As in a quiet area and easily able to control the light.

Good luck, Let me know how you got on as I'm looking to get some super 8 footage soon.

Here's a DIY guide I found.

Have a good new year!
