I know, I know, but (as my friend said) I'm a Sony bitch.

I've not had a D SLR before and am finding I need to consult the instruction book constantly. I'm much more of a "pocket camera, capturing the social side of things" bloke and having a device that's so much more capable is quite a lot of fun.

Here are a few more:

Must say, I have been looking for more things to take pictures of!

Overall, I'm very pleased with it.

I've only got the 18-70 kit lens, but it seems quite versatile. The body is a really nice feel - very solid and firm. The autofocus in the dark is a little hit & miss - it wants the flash to strobe to range whereas the last one (F717) used a laser to meter without the flash being up. Incidently the flash has to be manually popped up rather than an auto thing. Oh, and typically Sony, the battery lasts 3 and a half years between charging

Cheers!

Ben

PS. All those pics resized (from a billion pixels!) and compressed at 60%. The originals look far better (but would take a long time to load )

Welcome to your Minolta dSLR...:P

dSLR battery's always last quite some time as your not powering big LCD's all the time.
