yes Nice bit of serendipity.

Nah! Too composed I reckon. Must be a multilayer image jobbie. You been doing PS training courses Mrs. Fish?

Anyway, the pigeon looks like a stuffed one that's just been out for a run in something roofless - like an Atom for example ...

Actually I agree with GC and LA and was going to post to that effect ages ago but got tied up with something else first and so just trying to sound bitter and twisted for not getting in the first comment about it ....

Don't know what type of bird this was but it was huge! And not in the least scared by the people nearby taking pics!

Looks like a Pelican to me but I have no idea if there are more than one variety of them. I would hazard a guess they there are though.

Only criticism would be getting the cub full in shot.

Actually - might be worth cropping so they're both deliberately cut off. The puppy's (just remembered they're canine, not ursine or feline) eyes are brilliant - right into the camera. That's what makes the shot.

Sorry Martin, didn't comment on the heron - nice capture, she's watching something. Well framed - if that's not a crop then you got VERY close to her. Good work, they're notoriously flighty.

Steve - bunch of arse.

Is it my imagination or has that heron got a stick through its neck?

Maybe just having a rest?

Or is this a stuffed heron?

Actually that picture is pretty much straight out of the camera. It has just been cropped and brightened a bit
