Best digital camera for £200

[iamthestig]

I did post this question a few months ago but due to a "funds prioritisation scheme" I was unable to proceed with the purchase. The general consensus at the the time was that the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ7 was a great camera for the money. Just wondering if that's still the case and if anyone knows of any good offers on at the moment?

You can get the Canon PowerShot A710 for £180-£200 now, it's last year's technology but boasts:

Image Stabiliser
6x Optical zoom
Fully manual mode
7.1 Megapixels

Bought our's just after xmas - I love it, but it has excellent reviews also.

Thanks for your help puggit but I'm preferring the panasonic with it's 12x zoom. Found it for £169.99 delivered from onestop-digital.com don't think I'll be able to beat that unless anyone knows any better?

Im sure the cannon will be better!
