That's cheap! i paid about £35 for a 2gb and thought i'd got a good deal.

So who's going to be first to try one out?

Amazon.co.uk sells them for £130.
And here sell them for £40.

Seems that only the original link has the words 'Hi-Speed (160x)' in the title also.

Reviews here svp.co.uk seem to give a true review.

Anyone who buys them, get back to us. I need a high capacity card.

I prefer to have more smaller cards. Seems to cost the same and if one goes bang on a shoot you've not lost too much and have more cards as backup.

No such thing as cheap

Always advocate sticking to known good brands for the sake of a few quid.

And agree with having more cards of smaller capacity. 2Gb's about right IMO. And they really are cheap these days (branded ones)!

This is the one here. Extreme 111 2GB for £38 inc.

I guess you get what you pay for.

4GB one is here at £75.

Am loading the latest firmware into the camera as I type to cover all bases, but at the moment it's not behaving properly.
When I put the card in the camera it says I have 781 RAW shots in there. When it gets down to about 450 left it says "Card not formatted" when I'd only done it 10 minutes before...and this loses all the 400 odd shots taken furious

Stand by for an update.

Martin.

...and breath....

After updating the firmware from 1.1.0 to 1.1.2 all is well sort of.

It now holds all the 781 shots, but the buffer is down from 22 shots on a 2GB Sandisk UltraII to 19...and the time it takes to download 22 shots onto the 'puter has gone from 50 secs with the Sandisk, to 2 minutes...so much for 160X furious

Martin.
