You see it's because I take photos of big cars, it's the only way to get them all in the frame rofl

Nick...your car is allready sub-zero, wheels like that would put it off the scale. cool

I was wondering what you'd done. First thought was 'superimposed', then I thought that'd be more effort than it was worth for the background.

Gorgeous car though, and nicely taken.

Also (not that I want the competition), a possible contender for this month's comp...

Could you actually get DOF as great as that?

Excellent photo regardless

I love them.

This is not critisim, but when I looked at the first one, something, and I can't say what exactly struck me as odd about the DOF - think it might be the last pillar versus the look of the pumps next to it, reminds me of that guy who made real landscapes look like models.

Has the car been enhanced by HDR? Ive looked at it a few times and it doesnt quite look real. Any photoshop hints as to how this has been done?

You could just spoil the illusion by posting the original

The only thing I've done to that is to blur the background a bit, reduced it to 750 pixels wide and hit the "save for web" button. It hasn't been cropped, it hasn't been sharpened, it has had no adjustments in levels or saturation

The original

I prefer it without the background blur tbh. The blur makes the shot look really odd imo.

I really like the feel of shot other than that and the saturated colours look sweet.
