Hi there,

I am going on Tuesday 27th February.

Went last year and really enjoyed the show, at that time I was still shooting with a Canon EOS film camera and the show gave the chance to have a good look round and choose my first DSLR. In the end I went for the Olympus E-500 and have not looked back. Will be having a look this year for my next DSLR which will hopefully be a step up into the semi professional ranks some of you guys are already shooting with.

That's what I thought until I went last year. In fact it was much more interesting and useful than I thought it would be and provided a lot of new insights for me. Maybe I was very unaware previously!

I'm planning to go again this year but no idea which day yet. As it's only about 30 odd mile from me I can be flexible about which day.

I have just heard about this show and am considering going...are there bargains to be had, over and above good online retailers?

My wife and I are changing from our Canon 30D set up to a Nikon D200, and would consider ngoing if cash on the day will save me dosh to throw at the cars!! :-)

AJ Purdy have some good Nikon show deals...what temds to happen in the first 30 mins is the staff run around each other stands to see what everyone else is selling at....my advice get there early
Better still give them a ring beforehand to see what show deals they are doing

Been checking the feedback on one of the photo forums I belong to. Seems there have been some really good deals there today. Guess the plastics going with me tomorrow.

I went today while the other half visited friends in Brum.

Spent an hour there, and had my arm twisted () into buying:



Jacobs appeared to have the best deals - the 24-105 was 'only' £499

The Spyder is new, and is throwing horrible colour casts on my screen. I'll have to RTFM

Spyder was £150ish, and the memory card £45 - basically matching internet prices.
