I can't figure out why I like this. I got it wrong on so many levels yet I keep coming back to it.

Ah well...for what it's worth :

(not fishing either, honest)

PH squish in effect as per.

And I'm now going to go all photo-pimp in this thread for the hell of it

I like the Porsche pic. I think it is the reflections that make it interesting, despite the exposure being a little off. They draw attention to the curves of the car.

what settings are you using for b/w as i normaly take b/w on a 50 asa film (ilford panF) on ap 22 or 16 and exopse between 1/60th and 1 second as it gives more

what was the light like that day as part of the problem could be lack of poper light on it as i never convert b/w in photo shop etc as it will never look right

It was converted in Photoshop The RAW conversion was quite heavily saturated and contrast boosted a little, then gradient mapped to black in PS before a little fiddling with curves.

Couldn't tell you the exif at the mo, the RAW's on my laptop packed away ready for my flight home in a bit. I would hazard a guess at f13 or so. Light was a bit dull to be honest but couldn't go any narrower as it was handheld (albeit with IS).

Much cleaner. You've blurred the background slightly too which I like.
