Took the morning off as it was so nice and drove my car to the top of the hill, then drove it back again.

Firstly - apologies for being a smug git living in such a beautiful place with stunning roads.

Secondly - It gets worse, as I had the place completely to myself (which was nice).

Took some pics on the way up... mostly through the windscreen.

I've used number 2 for 'pic of the day' on my site, but wondered if number 4 was better?

"Hill"? hehe

Lovely day down here on the east coast, too. Tempted to go out for a top down spin at lunch.

wow it looks so different when you can err see it (as opposed to peering at it through rain that is going at 90 degrees to the direction it should).

thumbup very nice.

Similar to parts of NZ in some ways, though here the roads in those sort of areas are often either wider if sealed or gravel if theyre that narrow. Looks a beautiful (and FUN) place to live anyway

Very nice. Been along that road myself quite a few times now

This photo was taken about 5 years ago, on a point and shoot film camera, using cheap (think it came free with film processing!) film, hence the red coloured effects and poor overall quality.

I actually prefer the run from Applecross through to Sheildaig than going up the hill itself from a driving point of view.

John
