I forget who, but someone posted a pic of my burger in the P&P last week, and I posted a response asking if people could maybe keep an eye out for it, but didnt really get a response. Probably because it wasnt the photography forum, readers there arent as familiar with the image, etc...

Now the trouble is, I dont really read magazines, hardly ever buy newspapers, and if anyone is "least likely" to stumble upon their own work in the outside world, it would probably be me

Im desperate to see my first ever piece of work "in print" but Ive not had my first spotted yet. Nothing at all, and Ive sold thousands and thousands of photos. Im fairly sure my work must have been used somewhere. I wouldnt know where though, as microstock sales are not commissioned (obviously) and microstock agencies dont leave the photographer with buyers details.

Its sold 300 times in the last three months, so someone somewhere must be using it, perhaps as editorial or maybe a menu in a restaurant (although Id expect it to be more along the lines of "sleasy joe's backalley diner" rather than a franchise chain).

May I be so bold as to post again and ask you lot to keep an eye out for it? It sells far more frequently then my other best selling images, and if there is one image Im hopefully-likely to find one day, that would probably be it.

Thanks and thanks

I have two similar pics of the same burger (one with copy space) and im expecting to make another 1000 sales in the next 12 months - so one of us is bound to see it somewhere eventually, I just hope that one day it gets spotted. Im not sure why its so popular, most of the top selling food photos are of healthy food. It could be... the flames! :ducksforcover:

Not much. Maybe £300. I uploaded a few snaps from holiday to one site, but otherwise I havent done a single shoot since November last year (life went pearshaped, havent had time since) and sales slow down when you stop uploading.

I would be earning more, because of the 10 or so microstock sites which produce "half decent" results, my pics are only on a couple of them. Again, its time.

A few shekles are always nice when they are earned residually though. In the next 60 minutes or so, I'll have earned my 2000th dollar from shutterstock spin

Hmm, that didnt come out right.

Anyway, the person who quoted my burger in the P&P IS a PHer, from our photography forum Im sure, I just dont remember who quoted it...

My point was that:
1) Im DESPERATE to see one of my pics in print, and:
2) No one in the P&P is likely to remember it was mine, or spot it for me, so I should have posted my request here instead of there. I think its been posted here enough times that you lot will hopefully remember/recognize it when it does one day get spotted!

Ive made quite a few dishes (and ordered a few pizzas) especially to do a shoot, and ended up saying sod it, willpower crumbling into nothingness, and just eating the food instead.
