Places for cheap 55mm filters/lenses??

Howdo chapies and chapesses
Ive been looking into buying some filters and different lenses for the S5600 and recently (past couple of months) purchased a Hoya +3 double coated macro lens and a Uv filter, but for the motorsport season the 2 things I need is a higher grade macro lens (anywhere upto +10) and a petal hood
Does anyone have any suggestions for places to buy cheap 55mm filters and lenses as I only know of Ebay and Jessops (lets face it, Jessops aint really that cheap!)
Cheers for any info

Jacobs is generally cheaper than Jessops. www.warehouseexpress.co.uk is pretty good too

Why do you need a macro lens for motorsport season (unless you are trying to do a real close-up of the cars....)?

Because when Im stood at the side of the track, I want to get a decent shot without fencing/tyrewall etc getting in the way
When I first started going to motorsport events (recently I should have added) I found that the shots always looked distant and I was bloody close to the track so I want to avoid that by having a decent close-up lens
I see why you were confused....I just noticed that close-up and macro are two different things
Im new to this lark, can you tell
Mmmm, I thought both close-up and macro filter/lens let you focus closer (increase the magnification) but it doesn't give you any longer focal length. Are you really sure you know what you are getting? (Sorry to sound patronising but it just doesn't make sense to me). You'll need a teleconverter or something similar to increase the focal length, not close-up filter.

Macro lenses for the fujis do exactly what Gemm says. They won't take you any closer to the action. You want a tele converter attachment. Also got one of those for my fuji. You can get 2x and 3x ones. Mine is a 2 and it does extend the zoom range by quite a bit but you do lose some quality.

Not noticed things being noticably closer using the macro lenses but they let you focus closer to objects. The teleconverter I got wasn't expensive, can't remember exactly but was less than £30. That was from ebay too but came from overseas somewhere.
I think I need one at some point
