Is that landmark tower, yokohama bay? Loving the curved escalator in the shopping bit at the bottom. I once got abushed by a load of schoolgirls at the top of landmark tower, but that's a whole different story....

Snow in Kyoto gardens must be beautiful! Make the most of it! I recommend the gardens of Heian Jingu and Ginkaku-ji.

Konnichiwa!

I was mainly in Tokyo, but as you will know thats like saying I was in an average UK county, hehe. In Tokyo I went to Asakusa, Shinjuku, Akihabara, Roppongi Hills, Ginza, Shibuya, Odaiba, Odakyu, Ryogoku (went to see sumo here!), shimo-kitazawa and Chiyoda. Everyday we had loads planned for the morning, day and night, which I loved, along with the different foods!

I was staying in Chofu with my now wife

Other places I went were Yokohama, Kanazawa (kenrokuen park in my pics), Nikko, Takayama (8 sake breweries in 1 town, what a place!) and Kinugawa for our mini-honeymoon.

Also drove to and around Mt Fuji for a day.

It was an awesome holiday and was well worth using up nearly my whole years holiday allowance for. I'd have liked to have seen other parts of Japan of course but theres always next time and I might possibly be relocating out there after I graduate.

Cheers
Tom
