The scenario:

have a Nikon D50, looking to upgrade to a D200.

My photography fits into three categories:

1. Architecture and interiors (business)
2. Landscape
3. Portrait (kids)

Have a Sigma 10-20 which is great for 1 and 2, the 18-55 kit lens is pants, so I think I'm looking for something for the mid-upper range......

My short list is:

1. Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 EX
2. Nikon 24-120 f/3.5-5.6
3. Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS
4. Nikon 18-200 VR

HELP !!!

Cos I can't be bothered to check the price of what you have posted, what is your budget?

£500, which I think, covers all of the above.....

(I've then got to stump up the £850 ish for the D200 of course, and so it goes on rolleyes )

I'd point you towards the Nikon 18-70 ED lens.

And your choice of either

Nikon 80-200 f2.8, or
Sigma 70-200 f2.8

May be able to find them close to budget

Is the 18-70 ED different from the standard 18-70 DX ?
