Nikon 70 - 300 VR

[pupp]

Anyone using one? Any good? Local dealer has one for £399, seems decent value (if any good)?

I've also been looking at this lens for my D80 and have found if for £335 at shopping4cameras.com against the £399 on the High Street. This should compliment my 18-70mm as supplied with the camera so would appreciate any advice.

I was considering one of these recently, but decided on a second-hand 70-200 f2.8 instead. Anyway, I can't offer any first-hand comment on the 70-300 VR, but you will find plenty here, mostly positive

I bought one of these lenses recently. I am pretty happy with it for the money. I used camerapricebuster also, but Cameras2U didn't have any in stock. I got mine from www.cameraworld.co.uk/ . Service was great.

Here are one or two resized ones from my trip to the first 2 IRL race of the season at Homestead and St Petersburg, Florida.
