Awesome car, possibly the best sounding 'modern' I've ever heard and much rawer to drive than a Murcielago (in a good way, you understand ). Only one shot for now but its my favourite tracking shot from the shoot....

I like that.

Was it shot with you hanging out of the back of the camera car or with a rig on the camera car?

Nice shot though

Really nice shot - the colour works really well against the dull trees!

I echo the question - I assume that was you hanging out the boot of a lead car?

Health and saftey would have a fit; I imagine that even 35mph would hurt. A lot. Got the shot though hehe

LOL yes its a good way of doing it, but not as good as a rig. I'm working on that!

Different cars :

Its a lot easier when the suns out and the driver understands what you want from him!

More nice pics thumbup

In a lot of the Top Gear open road filming, you can quite often see a black Range Rover driving along infront of the presenter's 3 car convoy of the week. I assume that there is a camera crew in the back wearing harnesses. I also assume it's better to have a camera man harnessed into the boot of a car when out on public roads, as rigs protruding from the car would be a health and safety no no when there's other traffic around, no?

I was fortunate enough to be part of a photoshoot with Classic Cars Magazine... The photographer was the famed Michael Bailie and the subject matter was my Scandal Green Sport 160 Elise...

I was driving the camera car with Michael hanging out of the boot with a harness attached to a strong point on the boot floor (he uses a Honda Accord Estate which seems perfect for the job in hand)...

All the shots look like we're flying along at great speed, but in reality, we were doing just about 30mph... The camera car drives in the middle of the road whilst the subject car pulls up to within a few feet of the boot... It takes a good understanding from the driver of the subject car (hence why I was driving the camera car!), but the results were awesome.

I have nothing but respect for these professional car photographers... They have a true ability to polish the biggest of turds!
