What other does did you consider before buying this one?

They tempt me at times but I know nothing about them. Don't Epson make a good one?

I was going to buy an epson p2000 a while back when it was £189 but never bothered then its been discontuned. there are new epsons but the P3000 is £300 for 40gig. all I wanted was a card downloader and a screen to view to keep the wife happpy. the vosonic has a huge HDD and a big screen and was cheaper than the epson. they make a more expensive model with a fancy screen but that was not for me. download speed quite quick and the battery lasts a long time plus is cheap to buy too (£10) for a spare

I am still waiting for the Canon version that is supposed to be available later this year.
