A Medium Format Look?

I quite like the MF B&W film look, and have tried to copy it using my 5D & 85mm though am unsure if I've achieved the right result or not.

I hope you don't mind, I've had a play with the image you posted as I "think" I know the look you're after - is it more like this?



If so, e-mail me through my PH profile and I can send you a photoshop action I have which produces this. It's using duotone rather than just simply grayscale and you select a second colour (hence "duo"...this one I did (rather oddly) has a lot of yellow in it, but it gives it that dark husky feeling which I believe you're after

I like it. Nice to see at ISO800 even mighty canon's exhibit some noise. I still want a 5D though.
