Just been playing with my new Circ pol. P164 cokin jobby.
Whilst it does radically affect reflections in water and glass, it seems to do nothing to cloudy skies!
I thought you could massivly change the way the clouds and their linings look with a CP, but it really does nothing.
Explain!

Thanks chaps, I'll have a little play.
Worked out after posting that its only going to straighten out light that is being reflected into the lens.

No strictly speaking, I believe it blocks (not straightens) out light that is polarised in a certain direction. Light becomes polarised when it reflects off glass or water or indeed as it passes through the atmosphere. as such the light waves are aligned in one direction. when the polariser is sent in the appropriate direction it blocks these polorised waves. I presume there are aways random waves from everywhere so it can't make a seen dark...
but someone tell me if I've got it wrong....
