Can anyone help me with this please, I'm stumped. I'm trying to get some text to wrap around some larger text. For example, the centre of the document will have one word on it e.g. "CAR". I then want to have smaller words as the background. I don't want the word "CAR" to cover any of the smaller words, although they can be split to fit around the main word.

Jeeze, if any of you understand that, I'll be amazed!

Not sure if you can put text on paths in later version of Photoshop but you couldn't up to v7. If you are doing text work something like Illustrator is a better package.

I don't think you will get any version of Photoshop to do this - it's more of a page layout / DTP type thing where you set text to wrap around another object. Word will do it, if you put the main word inside a text box and set its layout properties to "square" or "tight".

You can do it within Photoshop but it's not exactly intuitive.

(Heads off for some reference to it I've got)..

Should be possible in Photoshop. I don't have access to it to show any screen shots as I'm at work, but on one text layer type your centre word and adjust font size and style to suit. Now on another layer type the phrase you want to "wrap" around and again change the font size and style. On the top to the right of the font name and size should be a few icons to change colour and distort the text - you should be able to find the option that turns the text into an arc so try playing with that until you get the shape you want.

I'm not sure but you may get a message about changing the text layer from a vector to a raster layer, just answer yes. You can adjust the size of the distortion by clicking and dragging on the corner handles if you need to.
