Off to homg Kong for 10 days of work meetings.

Not been before so planning to go the weekend before, and looking for suggestions for photos (vantage points for skylines, local markets) , etc.

Also, any recommendations for camera equipment there (although i had resolved to get better taking photos rather than just buying more equipment, it may be a good opportunity to get an Epson stroage device/similar)

thanks in advance

I would imagine a canon 1d mark III would sell well on ebay if you can find one

i forgot to add "shops" after equipment

if i get suggestions for equipment, i'll just end up buying it and then i'll be in trouble when i get home (especially as i've just quietly upped the budget for the porsche i'm looking to import from the states because it is a "bargain"

I went to HK about three years ago - in my opinion it's a photographers paradise. I'd love to go back, but only if I could stay with someone who could show me round properly. FWIW one of the nicest things we did was go for afternoon tea at the Penninsula Hotel - very old school, but an experience I will remember for years to come :-)

Its about 15.5 HK$ to the pound and there is no VAT in HK.
Mongkok in the Kowloon area is the best bet.
