what cheap d/compact??

[Gixer]

Ok, we need to get a nice small digital compact that we can stick in a pocket when we don't want to take all the other gear. Up until now we have been using our old Fuji finepix mx1700, but its really old, not that small and is now giving the odd error here and there. Looking for something cheap and chearful that takes a reasonable photo, any suggestions

I personally love my little Sony Cybershot DSC W50. 6.2mpx and takes excellent shots. Some good little features even tho its tiny and is quite good at night time shots for what it is. It also has a huge screen. £140 I think now.

Plus you look a bit of a numpty looking through a pin hole when you have a 2.5 - 3" screen on the back
