I have a WMV file sent to me, 20mb worth (of my first gig on Monday night, actually - can't wait to see it!). Anyway, for some reason it won't play.

My dad created it in Windows Movie Maker, and has e-mailed it to me (I'm abroad at mo).

It says "the file is corrupted" when I open it through media player, however all the file (20mb) is there and GSpot checker (the thing which checks what codecs are used etc) says it's all ok and should play?

Any thoughts, chaps?! I can forward the file if someone is able to look at it?!

Thanks everyone!

Tony

Have you tried mplayer classic? It plays pretty much everything and is only a 2mb download...

VLC media player seems to work on anything. I've had loads of video files fail in other players but VLC always comes up trumps.
