Or if your into Computers then you could load them onto the HD and use editing software to add Titles and make some good home movies.
Or a combination of the 2 I guess. I have some video editing software that allows me to capture analogue onto my laptop via a USB lead, and my new laptop will be ready on Tuesday which has a DVD writer in it. I think I'd have to be able to get it to record directly to DVD though as capturing video takes up a huge amount of disk space, it captures to avi at about 1mb per second !Then there's the bone idle aspect of simply sending the tapes off and getting DVD's back for a few quid

Have a word with PHer Simpo, he did a cracking job of transferring some footage from an older obscure format onto DVD a while ago for me. (I should point out that audioviz is his business so you'd have to expect to be charged rather than a freebie)
Thanks for that, I've dropped him a line.Edited by AM on Thursday 24th May 15:52
