Has anyone used them?

They seem to be kosher enough but the whole HK thing scares me a bit.

Can anyone put my mind at rest?

Thats where I got my 50mm 1.8 from - at Christmas, so can't really comment on speed of delivery. No problems.

Yep, I used them once, a couple of months ago. They were pretty good, from what I recall. No communication whatsoever, they just sent the parcel. It was missing a bit, so I e-mailed them about it and promptly forgot all about it. A week later, the missing bit turned up in the post, no cover note or anything.

I'd use them again if they were selling anything I wanted right now. hehe

Thank you,

They're about £40 cheaper than anywhere else for a Canon ST-E2 wireless flash trigger.

May have to give them a go.

Welcome. smile

Have you checked out DigitalRev to see if they've got what you want? From what I recall, they were always a fraction cheaper.

Used them for my Nikon 50 f/1.8 and Sigma 70-300, and I know several other people who have used them too. Delivery was within 5 days, and no VAT or duty to pay. I know someone from another forum who got stung for VAT & Duty by HMCE, so he emailed OSD as per the instructions on their website and they refunded him that amount without quibbling.

GOt my 17-50 F2.8 and 10-20 Sigma from them. Both within a week, no tax. Make sure if you buy from Ebay or Hong Kong that it's a no VAT (ie refund if charged) auction.

Onestop digital are good for me - everything includes delivery and VAT refund if required so easy to calculate. The normally send two emails - one a reciept and one when shipped with tracking number, though they did get stuck in my spam filter.

Only slight negative would be the packaging could be better - they rely on the box the kit comes in and wrap it with a coule of sheets of parcel paper.

I was put off by the warranty on canon kit (lenses, at least) being return to Hong Kong only. Might be worth checking as it could cost more than £40 if you have to get it repaired.

Canon lens warranty is worldwide, its the bodies that are country of origin only.

That's not what it says on their website. Would be gutted if the warranty is worldwide having just spent £1200 on a lens that was cheaper from them...

They have their own thread over on the dvd forums photo section, and always seem reliable & friendly.

www.onestop-digital.com I think.

If it's not too late try Ian on kerso1123@msn.com - I've recently bought some Nikon stuff from him (as have quite a few people on here) but he specialises in Canon I think and is very competetive.

I've tried to buy from him, as he was recommended here before - sent several emails. Nothing ever heard back...so can't comment favourably, if initial emails offering to spend money are ignored three times...

Surprised by that - he's always responded to me really quickly (like often within 2-3 hours of emailing him).

That's where I first heard of Fai (OSD) and used him for a lens and flashgun. Top service and he's always willing to investigate other products and give you a price if it's not on the website.

Haven't posted on DVDF for yonks now though, although I did go to the London meet last night biggrin
