Knackered card?
Discussion
This greeted me in Lightroom today

New SanDisk ExtremeIII 4 Gig card. There's a possibility it's my portable HD instead though, as one of the pins has bent flat. Annoyingly I cut and pasted from HD to card, not copied (damn thing doesn't get recognised by Windows so I have to copy back to cards and then put them in my PC reader) so I can't check if the original's ok on the drive.
Anyone seen anything similar before and can confirm the likelihood of it being the card or not?

Its more than likely the card.
You can still retrieve 'cut' or deleted photos from your card provided you have not written new shots over the top. Looks for 'photorescue' software - there's a trial version that lets you know if its going to work or not.
That said, i imagine you'll get the same results.

Probably the card mate, had a similar issue with one of the cards myself a few weeks back, not even the recovery software that came with the card would get it back, but sandisk will replace the card no worries, and give you the details of a place in nottingham you can pay to try to retrieve the information.
