A good value point and shoot digital camera needed

[_Deano]

Going away to Spain on Friday and i don't want to rely on the cheap throwaway cameras. So i want to pick up a nice digital camera for the trip and the future.
It doesn't need to have all the bells and whistles on it, but i don't want it to be without it's features.
What is normally recommened to someone in the market for a good point and shoot camera. My budget is around £150.

thanks

The Canon IXUS is a good buy.

Canon A710 if you can find it at that price point (it's below £200 anyway). Simply fantastic for a point and shoot, with more options if you feel brave.
