I seem to be building quite a collection... so here are some. Four of these were in the past two weeks. (Tonight's was tricky as I was being eaten alive by midges).

...and yes - they were this colour.

Awesome stuff as ever Steve. bow

Was this one before or after the mothership emerged from the clouds over head?

Bloody hell, do you live on mars!?
Absolutely stunning photographs. The third from last is my favourite. I looked at it for about 5 mins. Any chance of a higher res version? smile

Up until last fall, I wouldn't have believed that photos could be that colourful right out of the box. But then I got a few sunrise shots that were magnificent, though I lack the ability to get shots like that as consistantly.

As cliched as sunsets are, though, those shots are amazing.

I get some decent sunsets, but theres mountains in the way. sunrises are better but that means getting up early...

Thanks chaps. North West Highlands is a great place for sunsets. End of June, beginning of July is always daft here, so I hope to get some more. It'll now stay light for the next 4 days smile

I was hoping for more movement from the sea on the shot you mention, but still like the effect. (A 10 sec exposure).

a bigger size (kinda for wallpaper) here: http://www.stevecarter.com/x9.jpg

It would be cool to do an HDR thingy with a shot like this, done over 2 hours or so.

Love 1, 2, 5 (and 7 almost)...stunning colours with some very cool lines...the different textures on the water on 5 make that one probably my favourite technically...although 2 is more pleasing on the eye.

As always, very jealous of talent and opportunity!!!
