Looking for ideas (except the usual fleabay) on where i could find a nice 2nd hand lens for a Canon DSLR (350). I am only looking to spend about say £300 and had my eye on something like Canons own 28-135(?) IS lens. If possible i was after something of better quality secondhand but of samish specs. Thanks for any help.

Edited for spelling mistakes

I think he's looking for a lens, not the camera. biggrin

I've used shops such as ffordes, Mifsuds, Walters, MXV and they are all very good. Ok, they are a bit more expensive than buying them from a private seller but you can trust them more when things go wrong.

EDIT: Mifsuds have 28-135 for £229, and Ffordes have one for £219, and MXV for £239 (inc hood) smile

High end canon lenses are usually fairly expensive on ebay though, L series especially.

I think people get carried away with bidding believing they are getting a bargain. I've seen 2nd hand lenses selling for more than the cost of a new lens.
