Being a Mac fan boy I'm totally confused when it comes to XP etc.

A cousin is going to China for 3 weeks and wants to send her photo's home. So, which is the best/easiest to use bath resizer for jpeg photo's?

Preferably freeware... smile

Hi Andy,

Well for free you can't really go wrong with IrfanView (although I don't use it any more having just got my MacBook cool)

This one is the easiest as it appears in your right click box.

You just select all the pics you want to resize and then right click, hit image resize and then hit small, med, large, or custom and enter.

The resized pics are then added to the same file along with the full size ones and have the word (small) or (large) added to the file name.

Its a bit harsh on the pic but is super simple and free.

I'll have to give that MS download a whirl as it sounds very quick and easy, but in the meantime another one to consider would be FastStone Image Viewer. It does more than resize so if you want really really simple it may not be the best, but its free and easy to use and great if you want to do a bunch of simple tweaks.
