I not an expert but I like the colour of his hair and eyes in pic 3. Not sure if I like the pale skin tone, is that what high key should be like?

Other wise Sweeeeeet!

I think for a picture to go on the wall, No1 probably has it for me. Although it's a shame you've got the corner of the bath (I presume)? I love his expression in No2 though!

not sure if you would class those as high key or not. ITs not really highly lit to the point of blowing areas out, nice images all the same

careful with flash/or strong lights with kids. Eyes aint matured until something like 18 months or similar

actually took a second look, pic 2 is def on the way to it. 1 is nicely lit for normal studio stuff.

Thanks guys, just got back from some time off .... lol we went for all three in smaller frames ... who says I am indecisive biggrin

Stig .. just for the record .. all taken with natural light through bathroom windows .. whites blown by adjusting levels. Little guys eyes go nowhere near flashes .. expect maybe the odd in hot shoe jobbie.

if you want to go that route try in future step up 1 or 2 stops (unless you had) to over blow inside the exposure. You know the guide to spot metering and exposing for the tone you need?

Didnt try it on this one ... must give it a go, sounds good. Are you referring to the Ansel Adams technique ?

I was going to suggest all 3 as a tryptic or something like that. Good choice as it shows him in 3 different personalities!

The 1st one is OK, the other tow you have lost details by overexposing the subject IMO.
