I have three or four, under exposed, RAW files which i need rescuing.
I have tried a few noise reducing software packages, but they don't really "cut the mustard"
Does anyone know of a pro lab, processor or even individual that may help me out ?
Kind regards, as always,
David

Try the free download (30 day trial) of DXO Optics (http://www.dxo.com/intl/photo/dxo_optics_pro). It's quite slow, and the interface is clunky and takes a bit of getting used to compared to Lightroom, but I found it produced a very clean image with no loss of detail compared to Lightroom on a white Cayman S pic I took that was underexposed by about 1.5 - 2 stops.

The Lightroom equivalent was very noisy by comparison.

I wouldn't use DXO for processing large numbers of photos (it's just way too slow on my PC), but it did give good results on some of my photos.

You need to download modules for your camera and different lenses, and then it adjusts for lens distortion, CA etc.based on that. The noise reduction I think is body specific as well. If the interface wasn't so clunky and it was a bit faster, I'd actually consider buying it. I was able to extend the 30 day free trial by clikcing on a button in the app when it expired, though I'm not sure if you can do that a second time.

Apparently you can link it to Lightroom, and it has Flickr compatability as well, but I've not looked at these options.
