Today the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight's Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane flew directly over the house in formation at very low level. Perfect shot, perfect weather and not a camera to capture it with!

Sounds familar! I was flying out of Bristol Airport a few weeks ago and this was parked on the apron a few places down from where my aeroplane was parked:

Sooooo annoyed I didn't have my proper camera, just my crappy phone camera!

Later on, as I was heading back to Bristol, I heard the Lancaster call for take off on the radio (BTW I'm sure they do something to the radio in that thing as guy operating it sounded like he was from the 1940s biggrin). So there I was 800ft above the runway on final approach to land, watching the graceful Lancaster on it's take-off roll, rolling down the runway and then turned left to depart en-route. So wish I'd be able to photograph it, but it's a memory that'll be with me forever cloud9
