All.. anyone recommend a budget DVD player that upscales? Be ideal if also plays pucker HD/blueray too

your having a laugh...

Any HDMI DVD player should upscale normal DVD's, but any HD/Blu ray is going to be the thick end of 500 quid.

I gather the PS aint bas as a Blueray players, but pants on regular DVD

ahh well at some point will get a PS3 anyway, purely for playing GT , so in this case the budget = free, kinda. However as got so many DVDs already, if its crap at standard def playback I'll also get an upscaling player.

been webbing a bit. I gather recent firmware 1.80 offers standard DVD upscaling. Result.

Latest PS3 firmware adds *excellent* stad DVD upscaling. Also, the PS3 is one of the very best blu ray players you can buy.

I bought a US one for that alone, and own no games for it
