Lawnmower Racing - what a great way to spend a Sunday - pics
Discussion
Hi there,
Was planning on going to Donington to watch the motor racing today but instead arranged to meet up with my Dad who was part of the crew on the President which is a famous steam powered narrow boat. He was at the Shackerstone Family Festival near Nuneaton and while he was busy talking to visitors about the boat I took off to have a wander around the event.
The was a Lawn Mower Racing demonstration taking place in one of the fields and me being me thought it would be a great chance to get some shots.
Struggled a bit to be honest as there was that much dust around the camera was finding it hard to focus.

The pilot (?) of number 41 was using some great expressions to scare the competition.

This one is not brilliantly sharp but love the action in the back ground.

Hope you like them.
Regards
Tim

That's great. Some lovely images there. The expression on number 41's face is priceless. The roll in progress made me laugh out loud.
Now I have to explain to an office of my new American collegaues why Brits race lawnmowers
Do you think I should try and explain the traditional cheese chasing race or what about Morris dancing?
Chris
