John,
There was an image in last month's Digital Photo magazine (it was entered in a compition) that was an almost exact copy of your winning image taken at Linlithgow. It was also in B&W and taken from exactly the same location, the only difference was the lack of wildlife on the loch.
Dave.

You've got some nice shots there, certainly a good start
1st pic i think would be better with a tighter crop, or a different colour car, the black blends in too well
2nd pic not keen on, either shoot closer or further away closer would get more of the wheel and less of the rest of the car.
3rd pic, I like it
4th pic is too busy, there isn't anything for the eye to settle on.
5th Pic again, i like it, possibly better if the sky wasn't quite so purple
6th pic a bit too busy again, you need a focal point for the eye to rest on, also don't just desaturate to get B&W, play with contrast and levels if you can it makes it stand out more.
7th pic I like it, well spotted
8th pic would look better with the wheels facing the other way as if the car is driving into the frame
9th pic I'm on the fence with this one, nice use of a natural frame, but would be better closer to the boat, so as to see more "in" the frame
10th pic Nice, but try to make it punchier when using B&W
11th pic I like, would look better cropped ever so slightly at the top to lose the last bit of sky
12th pic is nice, just not sure why the sky is purple
13th pic looks good as well, but try to move out further to get more of the warehouse fronts in as the right hand side doesn't seem to add much to the picture
14th pic not really keen on this, maybe would have looked better showing more of the field.
15th pic I like nice use of a natural border
