Hi guys, I need to buy a bag and fancy one of these, problem is the dimensions look a bit tight, anybody tried one? I am trying to get a D70s + 18-70 + 70-300 into it.
Thanks

i presume you mean one of these?

from the words on that page i would guess that you should have lots of room. i have a D70s with 18-55, 75-300, 50mm prime, cleaning equipment, and portable hard drive all in teh bottom of one of these bags:

and i think that the packington bag is probably a similar size to the bottom section of that.

I have both a 335 and a 445, the Packington seems to fall midway between the two.

The 445 is very big, and both will take extra pockets on the end.

Last outing I took the 335, along with:

Sony Alpha A100 with Tamron 28-300 zoom mounted;
Minolta 19-35 Zoom (bulky lens)
Sigma 28-70 2.8 (another bulky one)
Minolta 50mm 1.7

Fujitsu Lifebook B2130 (10" sub-notebook)

Spare batteries, extra Memory cards, few filters, hoods for all lenses.

1 Side pocket attached for cables etc;
2nd side pocket for iPod, NR headphones etc.

If I had used the 445, a 15.4" laptop could replace the 10", easily another mid size zoom, plus a bigish Flashgun, and spare body (Minolta 7D).

It is suprising how much you can fit into a Billingham.

I would have thought your stuff should fit easily into the Packington.

I have a Hadley and a 445. The Hadley used to be fine with a D70, lens attached and two (or three small) other lenses. For example: D70 plus 20mm and then 70-300 and 85. And you could still get in some A4 paperwork and spare batteries and keys and a packet of polo et cetera. So I think you would find the Packingham just fine - but don't feed your NAS!!!!

But it's now a push with a D2X and lens on plus just one other lens.

(However a Lowepro Slingshot AW200 - that's another story - that does seem like a Tardis.)

That's interesting - I have a slingshot 100 (completely unused) because it wont even take my D200 + 28-70 f/2.8

I've considered a slingshot 200 but can't find anywhere that stocks it so that I can actually see how my gear all fits.

I bought the Slingshot 300 when Jessops had some amazing Lowepro deals.

Too big in my view.

Not sure I'd like to carry it far when full.
