Audi TT and new Freelander
Discussion
It's like they've been taken by different people! The first one is v boring - boggo standard front three quarter shot in a carpark.... tedious. The second one is superb.... great composition loads of visual interest etc - and technically spot on imho.
Out of interest, how do you rate them and why the very different styles?

Thanks for the comments Graeme. The day I shot the TT I also had an SLK 200 to shoot so ended up using a local car park close to the office during lunch, so everything was a bit rushed. I wasn't happy with any of the images taken that day, as pointed out, bland and boring, so when I had the Freelander to do I looked for a more suitable location for a 4X4. More time and effort was put into setting up the shot to get something with a bit more interest in it.
Fair enoughski. Given the time and location constraints of the first picture - maybe you could have got a more interesting shot by parking the TT parallel to the hedge and taking a profile shot excluding the miserable sky.... perhaps positioned the car so that there was some empty space in front of it in the frame. That way the car would stand out against the green background and compositionally it would have been more interesting. Given the light tone of the car and the dark tone of the hedge you could have exposed for the highights of the car and got a nice moody contrasty look.... a bit like the Freelander shot.
Nice looking car by the way...
