Ladybower Peak District
Discussion
Wow, how tired am I.
After a quick decision with a friend of mine from work, we took it upon ourselfs to go to the Peak District this morning to take pictures of the sunrise over the Lady Bower Reservoir.
Set off from Lincoln at 4.45am this morning, took a steady trip to the district which took a little over an hour (after my friend got lost cutting through sheffield trying to find the A57).
Finally found the A57 and got onto some twisties, taking it easy as there was really thick patchy fog everywhere, we approached a hill and as we decended, we were astonished to the view that stretched in front of us.
Big reservoirs with silky mist floating in patches along the top and the cloud breaking with yellow sunlight shining through.. perfect.
We got parked up and took a 30 minute walk to the bridge (the on you see in the picture), but most of the mist was starting to clear.. so I had the camera out and at the ready.
Just thought I'd share the best ones I took.
Going back in a few weeks time as we will be more prepared where to go get set up and the leaves on the trees should have changed into a crisp brown golden colour, and I will persuade him to take his car around the snake pass!

Im not one for early mornings, but if I get results similar to these, I may start to like them!
Regards
Jim
EDIT* Two of them have severe noise, I think compression did that, perfect when I uploaded them!
