****SEPTEMBER WINNERS****
Discussion
The jury has deliberated and here are the results......
First of all, a mention to several who posted on the chat thread but did not enter.... what's the matter gents?? GetCarter and Beano? And also Corkythecat.
Next, some honorable mentions....

Lovely, but sadly vetoed by the other half in the final round.
So, in reverse order...........
In third place, for a picture which relies on sheer drama to clinch a place........
Havoc's moorland sunrise

Not seen a sky quite like that, but it could definitely only ever happen at that time of the morning.
In second place......
Another sunrise......
Furtive's small, but perfectly formed balloon

For us, this brought back memories of a bracing early morning flight across the south african bushvelt.
and finally.....
in pole position.....
the photo that had the drama, the people adding interest, the early morning mist that we start expecting at this time of year, the automotive element, original processing which we liked .. and all in all (caption overlooked) we both thought the subject matter perfectly summed up the timeframe for a PH'er.

Well done, everyone.
RJ, its now your privilege to pick a theme for this month's competition, post up the threads, and by the end of October judge the entries http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Needs neater stitching and resizing, but we felt that this had potential.Fastestcar said:
We liked it because we've been there at the same time of day

Nice to see a different interpretation. Some more people on the platform to add interest could have had this one placed.V6GTO said:

Oh wow, third...am very chuffed with that...thought there were some far better pics on the thread, but I'm definitely not arguing!
I have to admit though I also liked the pit-lane scene...if a picture is supposed to give you a sense of 'being there', then it succeeded admirably! Well done RJ!
