As the title suggests. I have no idea how this has happened but i went out today to take some pics and thought, hmm some odd marks in the viewfinder. These didnt show up in the pics tho. Took a few more shots and noticed marks appearing in them, and things have just gotten worse and worse.
I have took the lens off and had a look at the mirror and the sensor and they are both marked, but the marks dont look like the shape of the marks in the pictures.
Really in need of help fast as i am off to Norway on Saturday and i cant be without the camera. Half the trips fun is to photo and film it smile If anyone knows of somewhere that can clean in the Birmingham area, or some shops i could collect a kit i would be eternally grateful.

Can you take a blank frame with no lens connected? That would show you which was sensor dust.

Sometimes a swift (but not excessive) slap on the back of the camera can dislodge dust. Make sure the sensor is pointing down though. A friend of mine was on his first trip to NYC when it happened to him, a couple of hard-ish wallops on the back of the camera removed the dust blob and all was well!

i can see actual marks on the sensor frown Damn and damn. I dont mind doing it myself but cant find a local shop that sells the swabs i need. GRRR. Always thought there was an issue with the camera tho, always seem to get debris inside the unit. After this hol it will get sent away for cleaning

I find my Arctic Butterfly (I have the cheaper one of the two models) works a treat and its a lot more portable than a blower.
