High ISO examples

Took this shot at a friends wedding a few weeks ago in quite low light. Now I know I'm cheating slightly by posting a small version of the shot, and I'd wager that noise is less of a distraction on black and white shots, but I'm really pleased with the way this came out.

5D, ISO3200, 50mm, f2, 1/80th, centre AF point with camera held above my head, flash +2 or thereabouts iirc.



At this size the noise seems very low considering the ISO was so high. When I'm home later I'll post a crop of the full size image.

Anyone else want to share some high ISO shots? Good to see how other cameras fair.

HP5 pushed to ISO1600 old skool on an EOS3000v

the 5d it has to be said has lovely noise even at high iso

you can see the noise in the shadows and some of the mid tones. the fact hat your exposure was good and using the flash will have helped with noise.
