3d photo website applications

[simon_j]

I thought I'd share some examples of a 3d flash open source project called papervision that's been available to the general public for the last few months. For best performance use the latest flash player.

Tiltviewer retrieves Flickr photos, right click to go fullscreen and then click on a photo to zoom in, click on the background to zoom out.

Papercloud is one of the original demo applications. Click on a photo to fly through the scene.

This example retrieves photos from a Pixelpost database via rss. Again click on a photo to see a large version of the thumbnail.

I've always been a huge fan of simpleviewer and with tiltviewer airtight seem to me following in the same vein - it's very cool. Papercloud looks great but doesn't seem very pratical for displaying your images.

The pixelpost database one seems to look fantastic but all the images are lacking in final quality - possibly something you can control if you use it yourself.

The papervision one is dead cool but again for me probably of limited usefulness. I'd call the tiltviewer one as most usable, all of these represent an interesting new direction for displaying images.
