I've made numerous attempts to try to cure the blown sky in the photo below but have had no luck.

There's zero colour in the blown section as it is totally bleached out - I was shooting directly into the sun.

Is it possible to give the sky a blueness, but for it to not look totally false?

I'd just select the sky and fill it in with pale blue with very low opacity, then repeat it until you are happy with the colour. Or just paste the sky of your choice. biggrin

I don't think it looks too bad as it is though, apart from the flare.

Perhaps not what you want to do but what about restoring some of the shadow in the roof and a different crop . . .

I'm sure somebody with plenty time and photoshop skills can do anything of course . . .

I tried this and made a complete pigs foot of it. In truth I'm pretty crap at the whole Photoshop thing, so it's hardly surprising I messed it up wink

The flare is as a result of me shooting at midday. What is it they say about mad dogs and Englishmen?! wink

The photos don't appear to be working Fergus?

Nearly wink

It's a temple in Lampang, Northern Thailand (about 600km's from BKK). My mother-in-law-to-be was ill in hospital, and the only time we didn't spend at the hospital was during meal time, hence shooting at midday and the resulting high contrast and blown out highlights.

Hopefully next time we go back I'll take my tripod along, and shoot at a better time of day smile
