Hi folks,
My Canon S70 packed up a few weeks ago - famous Canon "e18" error meaning that the lens has jammed. Have tried the DIY fixes, started taking it apart with no luck (and even the grinding noises have stopped now
)
It's a good camera and only a couple of years old - was going to replace it with a cheap point & shoot as I bought a dSLR in the meantime. However, I see they are going for 150-200 on ebay.
Is it worth me getting it repaired and either using it as my P&S, or ebaying and buying a cheap P&S with change for a new lens for the dSLR maybe?
If so, any recommendations?
Just emailed thecameracentre.com who quoted 60 quid which sounds OK (although it may escalate if it turns out I killed something with static
Anybody else? Prices?
